Probably best known as the birthplace of actor Andy Griffith and the fictional town of Mayberry, Mount Airy, North Carolina. Was home to Mount Airy furniture. The town of Mount Airy began during the 1750s as a stagecoach stop, between Winston-Salem, N.C. and Galax, Virginia. One of the largest factories in the area was the Mount Airy furniture and textile company. For decades, Mount Airy furniture was renowned for their quality and solid wood construction. Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. In good original condition, but certainly not perfect.Height provided is for the headboard. The footboard is 34.63 inches. The nightstands are 30" high, 27.38" wide and 15" deep.
