Antique French Louis XVI style buffet that our inhouse Old Plank workshop carefully hand-scrapped and removed the old non-restorable finish and ebonized the French buffet. We make it a store policy to hand-scrape and hand-sand our antique furniture, in lieu of quacking the process with harmful chemicals. This antique French Louis XVI style buffet, is much older than what we would normally see come through the workshop and we would date it mid-1800’s. The body of the antique French buffet was structurally restored, but look carefully at all the detail images provided and you will see lots of patina and wear on this buffet. Fortunately, the marble has never been broken, although there certainly are signs of use. We generally stock a dozen or more of the Louis XVI French buffets and all will be listed, although there are many still in line for restoration, which would still allow you to spec your own finish?
