C1930-1940 French moustache back sofa with its original leather. Whenever we purchase one of these sofa’s, they invariably double as a sleeper bed, and sit God awful. Just picture a concrete park bench and you’ll get the idea. This time we decided to gut (remove) all the steel bed mechanisms, and ultra stubby 4” springs, and rebuild it properly. Our upholstery shop installed the tallest and softest springs we could find, stuffed the seat cushion with a blend of horse and hog hair, and now you have a usable French leather settee in incredible condition. Should you opt, we could install and dye to match a leather back panel, but the fabric is original to the sofa.
