Anduze Planter Made in the Cévennes Mountains

Anduze Planter or Vase, Made in the Cévennes Mountains in the South of France

Anduze Planter Made in the Cévennes Mountains
We have been in the business of selling Anduze pots or vases for over 20 years and without question, the planters, that are produced by Poterie de la Madeleine, are our favorites. The Anduze planter you see here, has weathered many Chicago Winters and has had it’ s fair share of repairs over the years, which is probably why it looks so good. This particular Anduze planter, has not been artificially antiqued, but rather was aged by Mother Nature herself. Little history; Just outside of Anduze are the Cévennes mountains in the South of France and ever since the 7th century, this area has been considered the pottery capital of the Cevennes. The planter or vase you see here, was first created in 1610 by an artisan named Cévenol.
