This antique rustic French trestle dining table dates back probably to the late 1700s. It features a three-board top which is always a good indicator of age. The fewer boards a table is composed of means the older the table. Our Old Plank restoration department carefully dissembled the entire table and restored each and every connection for it to function as originally intended when new. The finish of the top of the antique trestle table was beyond saving, so our finishing department merely washed off the old shellac based clear-coatings and left the natural beauty of the 200 year old French white oak to shine through.
This is the color that all the reproduction companies strive to copy, but always fall a little short. Nothing like Mother Nature to create real beauty and this antique French trestle table really does her justice. Simple clean lines and looks as if no one has touched the table in over 200 years.
