Antique Set of (10) French Louis XVI style dining chairs unrestored and by that, I mean, the paint is old and has not been doctored or enhanced by some overly enthusiastic antique dealer. Not only is the paint old, but the color is exactly what you think of, when someone describes, French putty grey. The rich blue mohair upholstery is likewise old and has probably been on these Louis XVI dining chairs for decades. The wooden frames on the Louis XVI style dining chairs are rock solid and do not require any restoration. The chair frames are pegged together, which is a good indication that they are a bit older than most of the Louis XVI chairs we see. We also have a set of (12) Louis XVI style side chairs from the 1800’s in original putty grey paint and a set of (8) forthcoming. Everything is or will be listed soon. CONDITION: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Structurally sound, old paint with a great patina and decades old mohair.
