Set of Eight (8)Country French Dining Chairs
The French Os de Mouton style dining chairs, were introduced to the public, during the reign of Louis III, (1560-1643). The literal translation is; the legs of a lamb. The Louis XIII Os de Mouton chairs, also were the first chairs to have upholstered backs and seats, with the flame stitch pattern and edged with nail head trim. This particular set of (8) French dining chairs, were probably produced in the mid-1900’s and sit quite well. The padding is quite good and the structural integrity is still intact. **Measurements provided are for the side chairs (seat height 19.5"). The armchairs are 45.75" high, 20" seat height, 23.25" wide and 27" deep.
