Ornate eighteenth century Italian mirror, with Rococo inspired open fretwork decorations and an additional cartouche framed "cameo" mirror up top. The most amazing thing about this mirror, is that the gilding is virtually untouched since it was first produced over 200 years ago. You can actually see where the soot from the burning charcoal in the fireplace, landed on the frame. No one has ever tried to clean, or restore the gilding, which makes this mirror so very rare to find in this condition. Should you prefer it restored our in house Old Plank gilding department and bring the luster back to any degree of brightness you desire.
