Rarely do we ever purchase antique French chandeliers, especially wood ones, but there was just something magical about this particular antique French chandelier that we simple could not resist. For example, the scale of this antique chandelier, was unusual to say the least, for we cannot remember the last time, we came across an antique giltwood chandelier this large. The patina of the gilding is all original, without any recent enhancement or restoration to the finish. We told our Old Plank in house electrician, to carefully disassemble and rebuild the frame, without touching the original gilded finish and he did a beautiful.
