Antique French bakery or patisserie counter, that in our opinion is very old. Difficult to determine if the bakery counter could be late 1700s or early 1800s, but the look is there. Call it shabby chic, or Country French, whatever, it would make for an ideal kitchen island, since it is finished on all 4-sides. The paint on the front side is either original or really old and the other 3-sides, did require a lot of conservation. Structurally, our Old Plank restoration department went through the Country French kitchen island from the inside out, all the while trying not to disturb the original patina of the store counter. Condition: Repaired: We went through the entire shop fitting to make it structurally sound. Additionally, several areas required paint restoration. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. Great patina.
