Antique French Anduze Style Garden Planter

Antique French Anduze Style Garden Vase, Pot or Planter, circa 1862

Antique French Anduze Style Garden Planter
Circa 1862 French Garden vases, or pots in this particular style, are commonly referred to as, Anduze Pots or Anduze Vases. The art of crafting French garden vases or pots in the Anduze style, originated over 400 years ago and are just as fashionable today, as they were, when the first Anduze style pot was made by a member of the Boissest family. Rarely, do we find an Anduze style pot this old and not having been pieced back together. Our particular antique French vase or pot, was hand-made in Montpellier in 1862 and is signed, which would make this, the oldest antique French clay pot, we have ever offered for sale. No visible prior repairs or prior restoration. CONDITION: Completely original. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. Please refer to detail photos.
