Antique Lion Paw footed French Empire style Commode. Our Old Plank workshop completed a thorough restoration of this antique French commode from the interior to the exterior, while leaving the marble patina intact. The drawers were rebuilt so that they operate as smooth as butter. The marble top of the lion paw commode is Belgium stone and has not been previously broken, but please carefully at the corners and surface imperfections that come with the territory of 150-year old stone. In the past, whenever we send out the marble to be restored, which is always possible, the stone comes back looking too new for our personal tastes. **Front edge and corners are slightly chipped. Right side edge has a chip (image 9). Water mark and scratches on left side of stone (images 6 & 7). There are some areas where there is some wear (images 14, 17 & 18).
