French Antique Demijohn in a Great Color

French Antique Demijohn in a Great Color
$595.00
Carboy, demijohn or jimmy john, they all refer to the same glass containers. Demijohn comes from the French; dame-Jeanne, or Lady Jane and derives from the 17th century, and refers to a glass bottle with a large body, capable of holding from 5 and 16 gallons, with a small neck. In England, demijohn refers to an imperial gallon, used for the fermentation process in brewing. Please note, that there is a hairline crack at the bottom of this demijohn, but the glass has a very cool texture about it.
