Ammonite Fossil Found in Morocco

Ammonite Fossil Found in Morocco
Ammonites began surfacing during the Mid-Devonian period roughly 400 million years ago, that were mollusks, with tightly coiled shells on a single plane and known as Homomorphs. They matured and increased in size, chambers were added at the opening. Ammonite shells had hollow Chambers separated by walls called septa. The exterior ornamentation increased over time with outward ribs, ridges and spines. Huge ammonites such as ours, that we are offering are from the Jurassic Period 145-201 million years ago. The Heavy-Duty hand-forged steel Stand comes with the ammonite. Measurements include the stand.
