Antique 3-drawer pine commode, painted and faux grained, found by our intrepid buyer under a stack of other furniture. It is at once eye-catching with such a marvelous finish and understated style. It is in original condition and structurally sound, perfect for any room of the home, making a wonderful focal point of any space. Though structurally sound, we sent it to our in-house restorers who found that the only necessary work was to make the drawers glide smoothly as though lubricated with butter. The case has some scratches which, as you can see, still remain, giving this outstanding chest more character than you might know what to do with. We can however, touch-up and/or fill some or all the scratches upon request. European, early 19th Century.
