Antique English Pancheon Bowl

Antique English Pancheon Bowl from the Town of Leek in Northern England

Antique English Pancheon Bowl
A very antique English Pancheon bowl, made from earthenware (from red of buff clay) farmhouse dairy bowl, typically used to allow the milk to separate from the cream and also used in bread making & proving. I have to assume that the British, would then take their farm fresh cream and heat it until they have their famous clotted cream and if you have not experienced afternoon tea in England, with home-made sconces, jam and clotted cream, they you are missing something quite special.
