Circa 1880-1910 “Classic Pair of Chesterfield” Chairs. We found these wonderful, all original leather chairs in the south of France recently and carefully completed a structural restoration, including re-tying the springs, adding some more horsehair, and tiding up the leather. These are unquestionably the oldest pair of Chesterfields we have seen, and being that they were stuffed with horsehair and the general frame construction could be even older than we first thought. We do have the matching sofa in the restoration should you be interested in the entire suite? Condition: structurally sound, but the leather is over 100 years old. Seat height is 16"
