This is not an example of your typical c1950-60's Louis XVI buffet that someone quickly spray painted black, but rather an eighteenth century, signed buffet by the cabinet maker; A. Lenard. Our Old Plank workshop carefully hand sanded the old finish (no chemical used here) to the bare wood and our finishing department applied layers upon layers of different color stains, in order to achieve that old ebonized effect, where you can still see the grain of the mahogany and the warm brown tones showing through. The solid mahogany drawers are beautifully hand-dovetailed, front and back, and still clearly show the craftsman's scribe marks. Exquisite grey marble top.
