Another great pair of original French leather club chairs, that our Old Plank upholstery department has painstakingly completely disassembled and rebuilt to better than new standards. Nothing is left untouched, for we start at the bottom, with regluing the wooden frame and cutting corner blocks for extra strength, then our upholster re-ties the coil springs eight-ways by hand. Once the original leather is delicately removed for conservation purposes, any and all sections that have excessive wear, are backed with a heavy fabric for reinforcement and will prevent any separation. Areas of leather deemed beyond repair are replaced with new leather that we source undyed and are Old Plank artisans color and distress to match the original. The padding we use for our French leather club chairs, is the same as they used in the Art Deco period, which is shredded coco and horsehair. In the end, each chair requires a minimum of 40-50 hours of labor and that is the reason why are chairs cost a little more. **Seat height is 18"
