Without question, the best étagère we have ever had the pleasure of owning. Manufactured in Toulouse, France around a 100 years ago from cast iron, with brass fittings and looks as great today, as it did when new. Our guess would be that it probably was used in a fancy department store, but there is a myriad of uses today, such as; kitchen, greenhouse, living room, or library and honestly almost any room. Beautifully made and if you wish we could polish up the brass, or even change the color of the wood shelves There is a part of me that would like to see it with marble shelves, so anything is possible.
