French Rustic Farm House Trestle Table

Farm House Trestle Dining Table

French Rustic Farm House Trestle Table
Well, there are old French dining tables, antique French tables and then there are the “French ancient tables” and this is only the second French ancient “real” dining table we have had, in the last 26 years. Now, whether this French rustic Farm House dining table was made in the late 1600s as the expert in France has stated, or early 1700s matters not, but this French trestle dining table, is as old as the hills and has not been put together from a stack of old bits laying in the corner of someone’s shop. We found this treasure of a French rustic dining table, near the city of Toulouse, in the Southwest section of France and although we disassembled the trestle, we chose not to refinish the top, but underneath, we installed some large inlaid butterflies, just to make sure it stays together for the next few hundred years. So, if you are looking for old and we mean really old, with tons of character and love rustic, this is about as good as it gets.
