Super rare, set of four matching French leather club chairs, that have been painstakingly restored from the bare wood frames, to the leather coverings. Our Old Plank upholstery department, will typically spend in excess of 40-man hours of labour, on just one chair. They carefully remove the original leather coverings and should there be any thin, or weak areas, they will glue another piece of leather on the backside, to prevent any future cracking, or separation. Our woodworking department rebuilds the wooden frames and tightens all the joints that have become loose on the club chair frames. After the wooden structures are rebuilt, the upholster installs the coil springs and hand-ties each coil 8-ways. Next our Old Plank upholster installs the horsehair, or shredded coco for padding, which would have been utilized when the club chairs were fist assemble in the late 1930s. Lastly the leather is treated with natural oils, to maintain a supple feel.
