Three Antique French Demijohn Glass Bottles

Grouping of Three Antique French Demijohn Glass Bottles

Three Antique French Demijohn Glass Bottles
Antique Demijohn glass bottle and the word Demijohn, refers to any glass vessel with a large body and small neck, encased in wickerwork, or thin slats of wood. Presumably the word originates from the French dame-jeanne, literally "Lady Jane". We have a number of the Demijohn’s in stock and all will be listed on 1stdibs. There are several without the wickerwork surrounds as well. The grouping includes all three antique glass bottles.
