Francois-Xavier Lalanne Inspired Sheep Ottoman
Our Lalanne inspired sheep ottoman, which also functions as a bench for sitting, makes a great addition to any Lalanne collector. Our Lalanne style ottoman is available in a light, or dark patina and also available in resin and is listed on 1stdibs. The image shown is made from real white fur (black is available on special order) and the legs are cast solid bronze, in a dark patina. Famous for his animal sculptures in the 1960s-1980s, Xavier Lalanne worked closely with his wife, Claude, whom he met in the 1950s. While his wife preferred plant life, Francois-Xavier Lalanne preferred animals cast in bronze with wooden Sub-frames and wrapped in real animal fur.
