There is paneling and then there is paneling and by that, I mean, most of the purported 19th century paneling we purchase, turns out to be 1930s, when it gets to our shop in Chicago. Well, this paneling we purchased in County Mayo, Ireland, almost 25 years ago and the owner Billy was a friend of ours, who carefully removed it from a local church in the town of Ballina, which lies at the mouth of the River Moy. The church was constructed in 1837 and if you look at the extreme width of the panels, you will notice that the center piece of pine is one board, with the exception of one section, where we had to fill a hole. Our Old Plank Workshop, can fabricate matching baseboard and crown, should you so desire? Lastly, the colour is not one made up from layers of wax, but rather a sun beached honey colour, that has been waxed only with clear beeswax. Should you be looking for almost 22 feet of antique pine paneling, then this is about as good as it gets and deserves a good home.
