After close examination, we have decided to give the origin as European (or continental) due to the fact that we cannot agree on its origin, it might be Spanish, Italian or French as it has characteristics of all three countries. Another use for this wonderful piece would be as a rustic side table, an extra seat under a window, or for extra blankets and pillows in the guest bedroom suite. This is an impressive piece of furniture with a rich, warm patina.
