Description
Aristide Bruant, a prominent star of Montmartre in Paris, commissioned Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec to make this poster advertising his appearance at "Les Ambassadeurs" night club. Smaller versions of this poster were available for purchase by the patrons of the cabaret and we believe this is where this litho came from. It is signed by Aristide Bruant along with a short note to his friend, composer Stan Goldstan and is dated January 1st, 1917. This is one of the most iconic works by Toulouse-Lautrec and this particular lithograph is in mint original condition. Please call for pricing. France, 1917
