Description
Ton Van Lokhorst was the architect of the Rijksarchief in The Hague, Holland and he designed these archive shelves, or bookracks, to be used in his building. The stone, which resembles slate, is from Belgium and has been left in its original state but can be darkened. The steel frame has the original paint and the bar at the front is used as a step to reach the higher shelves. The Netherlands, circa 1890
