Description
Wonderful original antique English merchant's shop fitting in very good condition. This fantastic cabinet would have originally sat on a shopkeeper's store counter, displaying different varieties of Fry's chocolate. A longtime well-known chocolatier, Joseph Fry began making chocolates in 1759, eventually merging with Cadbury's in 1919. In 1847, the Fry's chocolate company molded the first ever chocolate bar for widespread consumption, and began producing the Fry's Chocolate Cream bar in 1866. Over 220 products were introduced in the following decades, including production of the first UK chocolate Easter egg in 1873, and the well-know Fry's Turkish Delight in 1914 which is still sold to this day. This is the perfect opportunity to own a great original piece of history and nostalgia. Sorry, chocolate not included. England circa 1890
