Vintage American Mahogany Executive Desk

Impressive vintage American solid wood executive desk with a stunning 3 panel crotch/flame mahogany top. This desk is highly functional, it has 7 drawers (2 of which are locking file drawers), all of which glide smoothly on metal slides, it also has three pull out writing surfaces and a convenient shallow shelf concealed in the knee-hole. The substantial construction is of hardwood solids, with a wonderful mahogany veneer and gleaming brass hardware for the finishing touch. The Mount Airy Furniture Company which produced this fine desk was in existence from 1895 until June 9, 1997 when a fire completely destroyed the facility. This desk is vintage therefore it is not perfect, it does have some minor cosmetic imperfections. USA, 20th century
