Directoire style doors found in a chateau in France. The exterior of the door is oak with an arched pediment and cartouche decoration; the interior has raised rectilinear panels which retain the original French putty green paint and gold leaf highlights. Hand carving can be seen throughout and the doors have the original hinges, bronze lock and escutcheons.  France circa 1800
