Description
Original antique French mirror in its remarkable original gilt frame. This mirror can be used horizontally or vertically and is just beginning to sugar. Sugared mirrors are so called because when a mirror reaches a certain age and the air has interacted with the original mercury or silvering, a sparkling "sugaring" appears. The end result is a beautiful, original antique mirror with an added shimmer within the glass. France circa 1870
