Antique French Cherry Bonnetiere from Brittany

Antique French solid cherry Louis XV style bonnetiere from Brittany. This single door amoire is structurally sound and in excellent condition, everything is original including the hardware and superb inlay.  It is a testament to the makers that no repairs have been done on this piece which was constructed using wooden pegs. The wood has taken on an outstanding patina and the whole piece rests on escargo feet separated by a scalloped apron with drawer above. France, circa 1790
