Antique French Book Matched Burled Walnut Chest of Drawers

Outstanding antique French Louis Phillipe 4 drawer commode (one of the drawers is hidden). The book-matched burled walnut on this stunning commode is some of the finest we've ever seen. This chest has some wonderful features like the bracket-form feet and original marble top. Many of these commodes were made but very few have exotic wood on the sides of the case as well as on the front, like this one. This commode would be fabulous in an entry foyer, as a nightstand in a boudoir, or just extra storage in a bedroom or walk-in closet. This is a spectacular piece in excellent fully restored condition and is definitely not the norm, they are highly sought after and will be passed on from one generation to the next. France circa 1875
