Antique Dutch Rosewood Marquetry Three Quarter Bed

Stunning antique Dutch rosewood marquetry 3/4 size bed with spectacular marquetry designs (each hand-cut, and recessed into the wood), bracketed side-rails and rounded bed posts. It is in very nice condition with some very minor flaking on the side rails. Since this breathtaking bed is finished front and back, it can float in a room without having to be put against the wall. Antique Dutch marquetry items are highly prized, this fine bed allows us to understand why. The Dutch were considered the finest furniture makers in Europe during this period. The inside dimensions for the mattress are 77" x 42.25". The Netherlands circa 1880
