Antique French Butcher Table Steer Legs

Another amazing find! This remarkable antique French iron base with original paint probably began its life in a French butchers shop. The two sets of legs are not attached so the size of the table top is flexible providing endless possibilities such as a bookcase base for cookbooks, an interesting cocktail table, or even the base to a great kitchen island. Butcher blocks are very thick which is why the legs appear to be short compared to regular table legs. Although there is no way to accurately date this table base, French butcher block bases with red paint  date from around 1880. The dimensions shown are for one pair of legs. France circa 1880
