Antique hand-carved solid oak bonnetiere from the Normandy region of France. This is a truly unique piece - we have never seen a petite bonnetiere like this with a mirrored front and bonnet top carved in this manner. If you prefer, we can reverse paint  the mirror (eglomise) a  chicken wire pattern in gold leaf, silver leaf or any color of your choice. The mirror could also be replaced with French chicken wire. This piece would be ideal for a small space like a bathroom or dressing room. This piece is in excellent condition having been fully restored structurally and cosmetically.  France circa 1880
