Antique French walnut Louis XV style desk in a rich warm color with beautiful hand carvings. The raised back panel which has unusual asymmetrical carvings is edged with scrolling acanthus leaves and a central cartouche. A scalloped shelf protrudes from the back panel and rests on two spaced small drawers. The main desk drawer has a rose motif carving and the carved scalloped edge flows seamlessly into the legs concealing the drawer. France circa 1880
