An outstanding antique French Louis XV walnut chest with outstanding carved details that add just enough decoration without overwhelming the piece. A wonderful commode like this could be used in the bedroom, dressing room, entry hall or even the dining room for storing linens.  The red marble top rests neatly above four drawers, the top one with a carved scrolled escutcheon, while the three lower drawers are bordered with a c-scroll design. The scalloped apron has a centralized rococo carved decoration and the piece rests on scrolled cabriolet feet. It is in nice restored condition and is structurally sound, there are 2 repairs in the marble (see detailed photos). France circa 1910
