Pair Vintage French Parisian Restaurant Host Stands

Phenomenal pair of vintage French solid mahogany host/hostess stands from a famous Parisian brasserie. This pair has a lot to offer, placed back to back they make a stunning island, or side by side are perfect as a back bar. Or use them separately for showcasing fresh baked pies and cakes. They could also be used as originally intended for keeping extra napkins, flatware and so on close at hand. They are in nice original condition, the brass has a light patina throughout and there is a dent seen in one of the uprights. The height of the two wood bases varies by 1/8" so they do not come together perfectly. Each stand offers polished brass hardware, three mahogany shelves for display or serving, four hand-dovetailed drawers, and a lower cupboard for storing extra tall items (only one lower door opens on each, the other is a fixed panel next to the drawers). The subtle yet distinctive decorative trim which is on the front and sides only, sets off this pair of stands making them very special and ideal for the home or in a commercial setting.
