Pair Antique French Art Nouveau Armchairs

Rare and fabulous pair of antique French Art Nouveau mahogany armchairs with leaf embossed, hand-colored leather. The leather seats were removed and treated with natural oils and conditioners, then an auxiliary piece of leather was glued to the underside of the original leather to reinforce and strengthen it. The chairs have been fully restored with new webbing, padding and horsehair stuffing; the frames were re-clamped and re-glued as necessary. In keeping with original practices, we steel wooled and waxed the beautiful wooden frames. These chairs are in good fully restored condition, see detailed photos showing where the antique leather has worn and been reinforced. The seat height is 17". Please contact us for pricing.
