Rare and fabulous pair of antique French Art Nouveau mahogany armchairs with leaf embossed, hand-colored leather. The leather seats were removed and treated with natural oils and conditioners, then an auxiliary piece of leather was glued to the underside of the original leather to reinforce and strengthen it. The chairs have been fully restored with new webbing, padding and horsehair stuffing; the frames were re-clamped and re-glued as necessary. In keeping with original practices, we steel wooled and waxed the beautiful wooden frames.
