Vintage butcher block made from maple with the original solid brass hardware, dovetailed top and wooden-peg constructed legs. This piece has been in the owner's personal collection for 35 years. This butcher block is in good original condition and structurally sound, there are gaps on both sides of the block (see detailed photos) which is common in old butcher blocks, but these can be filled. The reason this is thought to be made in the USA is that maple is rarely used to make furniture in Europe. USA circa 1920
