Antique walnut bookcase, probably from France (pending research), comprising upper glazed vitrine and lower chest of drawers with intricate carving throughout.The upper portion, which stands on two small drawers, has two shaped glazed doors with the original glass and beaded trim. The overhung bonnet top is complimented by the shaped mirrored frieze below and the central flower basket pediment above. The lower portion has two half-width drawers over three full width drawers, serpentine front, hand-dovetailed drawers and original hardware, circa 1850
